Welcome to KUBO's
Kindergarten Readiness Program
A Neuroaffirming, Play-Based Program to Prepare Your Child for Kindergarten

About the Program
Our Kindergarten Readiness Group is a 3-day-a-week, small group program created specifically for neurodivergent learners who are preparing to start Kindergarten. Located in South Vancouver, this group offers a safe, structured, and engaging environment where children build confidence in school routines, social play, and early STEM concepts.
Personalized Learning
Every program is carefully tailored to match the abilities, interests, and support needs of each student. We work closely with families to identify goals and provide individualized activities that foster confidence and growth.
Accessible Education
Our approach removes learning barriers by adapting to each student’s needs. We believe that exploring STEM should be fun and free of pressure, which is why our programs are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable.
Genuine Connections
We value mutual respect and genuine connections. Our facilitators not only teach STEM but also help facilitate natural peer connections through their shared interests. We aim to create an environment where every student feels safe and has a place of belonging.
Community Outreach
While our main hub is in Vancouver, B.C., we are eager to bring our programs to different communities. If you’re interested in hosting a STEM group in your city, please get in touch!
Our STEM Approach
STEM education is about more than just acquiring skills—it’s about learning to think critically, solve problems creatively, and work collaboratively. Here’s a glimpse into what our programs offer:
Science
Ignite curiosity and foster a mindset of inquiry and discovery through experiments and hands-on exploration.
Technology
Develop digital literacy and critical thinking skills essential for a rapidly evolving world.
Engineering
Inspire innovation through practical challenges that encourage creative problem-solving and design thinking.
Mathematics
Build a strong numerical foundation that empowers students to understand and analyze the world around them.
Program Highlights
Our programs are structured to naturally nurture interests and social connections through a person-centred approach:

Exploratory STEM Sessions: Students dive into a variety of activities like robotics, LEGO building, science experiments, and even Minecraft projects. Each session allows participants to explore different aspects of STEM while working on individualized goals, such as self-advocacy, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
Flexible Group Sizes:
-
Early Innovators (Ages 3-6): Small groups of 4–7 participants with a 1:1 or 1:2 support ratio.
-
Young Pioneers (Ages 7–12): Groups of 5–10 participants, also with a 1:1 or 1:2 support ratio.
-
Future Innovators (Teens): Tailored sessions with 5–10 participants and flexible support arrangements to ensure personalized attention.

All our sessions always have a behavior consultant on-site supervising and supporting all facilitators and students.
Special Sessions: We also offer seasonal programs, including summer camps and break-time workshops. These sessions maintain the same commitment to individualized learning and accessible STEM experiences, with a dedicated intake process and personalized feedback for every student.
